There's one couple that's been together longer than Angela and I have, and it's Fangsiang and Seth. And, they're finally married!
I have the pictures to prove it too - gimme some time, gentle reader! - and looking at the photos I just took, I have to say: it was probably the most nostalgic wedding I've ever been to.
Fangsiang and Seth had a sweet wedding in FCBC's Touch Centre, a place with many memories for me, but I'm sure it had way more significance to the couple. It was a sweet wedding complete with tearful "almost-goodbye" speeches that one would expect at a wedding. But I guess that this one was so much more meaningful, in the sense that it took them 10 years and 10 months to get there. Well, you have to know them well to understand.
I stepped inside the Touch Centre Auditorium, for the first time in 4 years. Hardly anything had changed, except for the inclusion of a dark golden coloured "Ark of the Covenant" on the ledge on the circus seats. Otherwise, it was same old, same old.
The people were the same too - I'm not kidding - 4 years on and many of them look exactly the same, albeit with a touch of makeup (yes, the ladies). So you can imagine that it was like stepping into the past for me - and it felt somewhat like a distant past. Perhaps the world's moved on a little faster for me.
So now, it seems, Angela and I are now holding on to the "longest couple" title among all we know.
