After a few days of being stuck with a relic of a phone, I'm back to good ol' smart phone goodness. Apparently, the bug in my phone was prevalent in that generation of Samsung i780s, and I'm glad that it's fixed.
Samsung's customer service was above average, to say the least. Everything up to delivering the phone to my place was full of good gestures and intentions - until they forgot that I had reserved a USB cable (I lost the original one running after a bus).
Apologies to all who were trying to get me over the past two days and got zilcho replies. Send them over again and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
