The Short Story:
We're a Christian couple living in Singapore, working on building a life together in the Lord. We're done with 10 years of dating, and finally tied the proverbial know on the 1st of December, 2007. It was absolutely the best day of our lives.
We hope you'll find the tips and advice we've posted here useful - many of them have been learned the hard way.
The Long(er) Story:
In light of of the directions we're taking in terms of building a Christian Home and family, Angela and I (though I'm more or less the main author) are hoping this blog will achieve 3 big things:
- It will chronicle the building a home based on
the immutable, solid Word of the Lord. The odds of marriages failing are on the
increase, but why shouldn't we endeavor to build
something wonderful and lasting? We believe the only way we'll ever make it is to put
God first. It's no walk in the park, I can tell you that.
- It will be a repository for tips, tricks and hacks on getting stuff done so that you can concentrate on the more important things in life. I'm a serial lifehacker - but that comes with the goal to give my family the freedom of finances and time. (I'm working on tweaking this section of the blog bit, so bear with me.)
- It's a diary for friends, family, and most of all, Us. I'm overjoyed that a number of our bestest buddies drop by to check on us ever so often. It's not easy keeping in touch otherwise - I know, because it's hard enough to find any time meet them. It'll get worse, I guess, when kids come along. Oh, on that "diary for us" part - I'm also using this blog to record in the milestones of our time as a couple together. The focus, then, is couplehood - it's not going to be about the kids, though they'll be featured from time to time.
