An Anxious Weekend
We decided last week that we'll stop the cooking for a while, and get some rest before the final stretch. That, and also the fact that David's pressing himself hard against her tummy (we can feel his fingers). Then, suddenly, while having dessert with our long time friends (and husband-wife) Andy and Yuling, she thought she felt signs that her water bag burst. That sent us into a nervy 24 hour watch, at the end of which was peace and calm. Strange! It should be soon though. Really soon.
Its So Fun To Have Pregger Friends
Andy and Yuling's having a girl, about ten weeks behind us. Both them and us have been blessed with gifts from relatives and friends, and we've been sharing stuff with each other. We spent the good part of the Saturday (before the scare) meeting up with them and catching up on how they've been doing - and having some seriously awesomely good makan. Thanks guys for the dinner and bready things! Lovely lovely. And thanks to Yuling for accompanying the wife to the lady doctors! Two preggers are better than one, or, four are better than two. David will be surrounded by women today. Lucky boy.
If I'm Not Back In A Few Days
But then again, I've heard some people tell me that the first born takes a while. 3 days of false labour and 12 hours for 3cm dilation sounds like NO JOKE MAN. God help us!
